The calm after the storm

I can’t stay away.

I think this is possibly the longest I’ve gone for a long time without writing any blog posts. And I didn’t stop thinking about it. Sometimes, I take a picture or I go for brunch and I often think, this would make a good blog post. But for awhile, I couldn’t find the words.

I wanted my next post to be about the surgery and the recovery and the whole journey. To be honest, it’s taken longer to recover than I first thought, and I still feel like I can’t give myself that final stamp of approval that I’m “recovered”. I’m better, and I feel like the laparoscopic excision surgery I had was a success, but the time period after that is ongoing and uncertain and not quite the clear cut yes, you are better that I was naively hoping for.

I’m working on a full post detailing my experience with endo from start to so far that will be published probably at the weekend. For now, I just wanted to pop my head in and say hello, I’m here and I’m ready to get reading and writing blog posts again.

And just to say, from the end of this week, I will no longer be – I will be going back to I have no further ambitions to monetize my blog or make it into a business. I just want to write about food and endometriosis and how the two effect one another. And I want to connect with women who have this condition, or foodies who eat gluten free, or people who post amazing recipes.

I will be focusing more in future posts on health and keeping my endo symptoms at bay, but I will still be posting recipes and food related things too. I hope you enjoy what Boo Wholefoods has coming up.

    • Thank you so much 😊 I’ve got two posts coming up all about my surgery and recovery. I’m going to put a real focus on sharing what’s helped me in my endo journey so that hopefully others can share that benefit too.
