She-Hulk Smoothie

As excited as I am for the latest installation in the Thor movies (especially as Taika Waititi is directing – see Hunt for the Wilderpeople, or What We Do in the Shadows), I long for a She-Hulk film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I think Jennifer Walters is such an interesting character in the comics that would definitely transfer over to the screen. Maybe a cameo in the upcoming Captain Marvel flick? I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Anyways, before I have a complete geek-out, the real reason I started thinking about She-Hulk was because of the fantastic colour of this smoothie. I certainly felt powered up and ready to defend justice (or you know, go to work) after I had sipped a pint of this. It combines smoothie favourites, like banana and almond milk, with new players like spinach and coconut peanut butter from my recent wholefood haul. It set me up for the whole morning and I’m certainly going to make it again.


She-Hulk Smoothie

Serves 1

I used frozen spinach that I defrosted overnight and it worked just as well as fresh, but use what you’ve got. Add to your blender, along with 1 frozen chopped banana.

Add 1 heaped teaspoon of ground flax seed, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 generous teaspoon of coconut peanut butter and enough almond milk to cover into the blender.

Blitz! Serve and top with desiccated coconut.
